Year 7 Science Excursion

On the 12th of March, Year 7 science students had an incursion presented by Professor Bunsen. The experiments complimented their studies of the properties of substances. Students were informed about:

• the properties and difference between solids, liquids & gases
• the kinetic model of boiling and how gases form
• phase changes using physical and chemical changes
• many examples of changes in state of matter
• fun and explosive chemical changes (solid & liquid - gas)

The girls enjoyed an interactive and fascinating experience!
